In February 2018, The media outlet Dispatch reported that Milo invited an underage fan to stay with him at a hotel the next time he visits Japan alone. This is due to an online thread that revealed a Japanese fan sharing screenshots of her messaging conversation with Milo, and the case soon turned into controversy. In the messages, the other party (assumed to be Milo) threw a suggestion to the fan that while he is traveling in Japan, they should stay at a hotel together. The fan herself has been reported as underage in various news resources. The evidence is KakaoTalk texts showing that Milo directly reached out to a fan on private. This screenshot was then posted on social media by the involved fan.
