Crash Landing on You (CLOY) is a love story between a rich heiress and a military officer. CLOY was broadcast on cable television channel from December 14th, 2019 to February 16th, 2020. A-list cast, romantic love story, easy listening originals soundtrack are the ingredients of this recipe for high rating Korean dramas. Viewers’ ratings soared high and CLOY proved to be a huge success. Yoon Se-ri, played by melancholic actress, Son Ye-jin, is a South Korean heiress that crashed her paraglider in a North Korean forest due to a sudden tornado. She was found by handsome North Korean military officer Ri Jeong-hyeok, played by Hyun-bin. Ri Jeong-hyeok kept her in a secret shelter and promised to return her to South Korea. During the process, they fell in love with each other. They must overcome every obstacle to guide her safely back to South Korea.

Ri Jeong-hyeok is an experienced and calm military officer. He comes from a respected military family but he hides his family information from other military soldiers. He falls in love with Yoon Se-ri and leaves his country to guide her back to her family. Yoon Se-ri comes from a wealthy family. Although raised by powerful parents, she has become a successful businesswoman through her own efforts. She is a well respected and tough business leader. During the process of returning to her home country, she falls in love with the military officer, Ri Jeong-hyeok.
In episode 12, Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri spend the night drinking in his house. Since both of them were drunk, they could comfortably tell each other’s true feelings. He didn’t want to leave South Korea and return to the North. Instead, he wanted to spend his life with her, build a family, raise their children. This scene is romantic and honest because they can tell their deepest emotions without any fear of rejection.
Ri Jeong-hyeok misses Yoon Se-ri and decides to find her in Seoul. He crosses the secret path between North and South Korea and walks all the way to find Se-ri. Based on the limited information about her address and by pure luck, he eventually finds Yoon Se-ri. On a romantic winter night, Ri Jeong-hyeok is finally able to meet Yoon Se-ri. Tears are flowing down from their eyes while they hug under the snow. Though she finally meets him again, Yoon Se-ri is afraid that it is just a dream.
Ri Jeon-hyeok decides to make their relationship official. He has secretly prepared a present for Yoon Se-ri. At first, she thought that it was just a simple present. She shed happy tears upon finding out that it is a couple’s ring. It proved that Ri Jeong-hyeok wanted to have a serious relationship with her.
Before leaving him to return to South Korea, Ri Jeong-hyeok walks her all the way up to the borderline fence. She walks past the fence but she feels that there is something missing. Ri Jeong-hyeok suddenly approaches her from behind and kisses her. It is their first and last kiss before the temporary farewell.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s Off-screen Moments
Hyun-bin and Son Ye-jin got together for a promotional interview scene. Each of them read several compliment cards. Some of the complement cards were written by fans and some were written by Hyun Bin or Son Ye-jin. They had to guess the compliments that were written by the opposite partner. During the scene, both Son Ye-jin and Hyun-bin showed good chemistry and could easily notice the small differences in each other’s tone and action when reading the compliment cards. Something In The Rain was on the air from March 30th to May 19th, 2018. The romantic melodrama is starred by melodrama specialist, Son Ye-jin, and handsome actor Jung Hae-in. Something In The Rain tells the story of the romantic relationship between Joon Hee, a young animator in his twenties, played by Jung Hae-in, and Jin-ah, a franchise coffee manager in her thirties. Jin-ah is a close friend of Joong-hee’s older sister. They know each other since childhood and just recently reconnect after Joon Hee returned from working in a foreign country. Their companies are located in the same building. Their relationship grows after frequent eating out together. Joon-hee and Jin-ah’s relationship has to endure difficult paths since an older woman and a younger man’s relationship is often considered a taboo in Korea. Jin-ah is a warm and confident woman. She finds it comfortable being around Joon-hee even though she is older than him. Although being the younger person in the relationship, Joon-hee’s caring and mature character makes Jin-ah fall in love with him.
Joon-hee and Jin-ah meet for the first time after he returns from working overseas. They agree to meet and have casual dinner at a local pub. Joon-hee and Jin-ah recall their childhood days when Jin-ah used to give piggyback rides to him. From their conversation, actually Jin-ah had special feelings for him. However, because he is her best friend’s younger brother, she tried to remove him from the possibility of being her boyfriend. Jin-ah knew that Joon–hee came to meet her first instead of meeting his older sister. From this moment, they become closer and even more comfortable with each other.
Jin-ah and Joon-hee choose to eat out together instead of eating out with coworkers. They start eating out at a romantic restaurant instead of the casual one which is their best for the taste of a restaurant. Joon-hee orders wine for her because he knows that she loves wine. Joon-hee paid the bill instead of her but he made her promise to treat him food in the future. It was a sign of Joon-hee’s growing attraction toward Jin-ah.
After agreeing to an official relationship, Jin-ah spends more time staying in Joon-hee’s house. It is the best moment of their romantic relationship. Everything felt good and both enjoyed the loving feelings of each other.

During the first announcement of Something In The Rain’s airing, Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in told the audiences about their first impression. Son Ye-jin said: “Jung Hae-in is very handsome. I knew that he has a youthful and baby face look but he looked even younger when I saw him for the first time.” Jung Hae-in replied: “Son Ye-jin is very beautiful and she looks even more beautiful in person. I can’t look her in the eyes.
